Lincoln Prison information
HMP Lincoln opened as a local prison in 1872 holding remand and convicted prisoners. The Establishment is a category B prison holding adult male remand/convicted prisoners and unsentenced young adult prisoners. HMP Lincoln serves the courts of Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Humberside.

Accommodation:HMP Lincoln has a total of 436 cells spread across four residential wings, a segregation unit, and in-patients Healthcare Facility. The four residential wings are:
- A Wing – Induction Unit (including first night centre) and detoxification programme
- B Wing - Convicted
- C Wing – Unconvicted
- E Wing – Vulnerable Prisoner Unit
- J Wing – Short Duration Programme

Reception criteria: Normal Reception Arrangements. HMP Lincoln accepts prisoners direct from courts within its catchment area.
